Ok maybe today isn't Christmas, but we decided to spice up the apartment with some lights and a Christmas tree from La Sirena (the Dominican Walmart), while playing Mariah Carey's famous hit...this is basically what happens when you miss home. Us Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, but since Dominicans do not, they start putting up the Christmas decorations extra early. In the states, I hated that, turning on the radio and already hearing Christmas music in November. Now it makes me very happy :). One month till Christmas break!
