My lil Easter Bunnies

Today Johan and I threw an Easter fiesta for our first graders. We played games with them all day, ate cake, and watched a movie. Thanks to Ashley, I got a picture with each of my students in bunny ears:

Chichigua

Usually I write about the village called Chichigua, but this time I am talking about the Spanish word for kite. A few weeks ago Johan decided to make a kite with our first graders. We told them if they behaved throughout the week, we would take them to the Play down the street where there is a huge field to fly the kite. Of course we made sure they were able to...love having that control haha. Our students lovvvved it. They loved making the kite with Johan and going to fly it. Well it lasted for about ten minutes. The kite flew high in the air and then crashed down to the ground. And that's the end of the story :).
